I know the end of the school year is crammed, crowded and overwhelming.... even more so than the rest of the crazy school year.... but PLEASE -- don't forget that it's election season ---- and that's mission critical for those of us who care about children, families, schools.... you get the picture.
You've seen the signs. Hopefully you've checked out a forum. Maybe you're scratching your head right now and saying 'what election ---- it's not November'.
Maryland's primary moves this year from September to June. June 24 to be precise. Early voting runs from Thursday June 12 through Thursday June 19. June 12 -- that's 3 weeks from TODAY!!
It's more important than ever to vote this year. We tell our kids to pay attention, get involved, do your homework ---- we have to walk the walk! You have a total of 93 hours over 9 days to get your tuchus into a voting booth. NO EXCUSES!!!!! All the details are below.
Not registered to vote? Don't know if you're registered to vote? Moved since the last election? Just want to double check to make sure your voter registration information is accurate?? Here's a link to all the information you could ever hope to need about voter registration:

When and where to cast that all important vote? There are 9 early vote centers throughout the county, each open from 10am-8pm Thursday June 12 through Thursday June 19. That's 80 hours over 8 days --- Saturday and Sunday included. Here are the early vote centers:
IMPORTANT NOTE: unlike voting at your assigned polling place on election day, should you choose to vote early you can vote at ANY early vote site in the county..... so vote on your way to work, at lunch, on your way home, while you're out running errands, while your kid is playing baseball/softball..... any time your daily travels take you past one of the nine early vote sites.
